Setting up the Digital Input Timer Function with a Digital Output
Overview
A timer function is available for H100+, iS7, S100, and G100 drives which allows an internal timer to start when a digital input is active. After the initial time (on delay) has elapsed, a digital output will energize for a certain amount of time (off delay). This timer function can be useful for a variety of applications.
Wiring
Choose a digital input (Px) for the Timer Input and a digital output (Ax/Cx or Qx)for the Timer Output as shown below.
Parameters
Set the following parameters to setup the timer function:
- IN-xx = 38 (Timer Input) – Assigns the timer function to a digital input (Px).
- For H100+ drives, set IN-xx = 35.
- OUT-xx = 28 (Time Output) – Assigns the timer function to a digital output (Qx or Ax/Cx).
- For H100+ drives, set OUT-xx = 22.
- OUT-55 = Timer On Delay – Sets the on delay time for the timer function.
- OUT-56 = Timer Off Delay – Sets the off delay time for the timer function.
